Feyzi Erçin, Burcu Çelikçapa-Bilgin and Dilek Bektaşoğlu-Sanlı had been working together for more than a decade and had spent the last several years of their careers as partners in a major, now defunct, law firm. In 2006, they decided to set up their own Firm and Erçin Bilgin Bektaşoğlu was established on 1 September 2006.
In the 15 years since it was founded, the Firm has more than doubled its initial size and now consists of three partners, nine associates and four trainees.
We have a broad range of clientele, including underwriters, reinsurers, P&I Clubs, shipyards, shipowners, port operators, freight forwarders, traders, banks and finance institutions. Our Clients are mostly based outside Turkey and particularly in the U.K., Germany and the Netherlands.
The Firm has close links with many leading international law firms and is able to offer its local Clients immediate assistance in foreign jurisdictions. The majority of our work is contentious and we are proud to have received praise from international press on our transport and dispute resolution practice.
Members of the Firm advise Clients also in respect of non-contentious work on insurance policies, commercial contracts, securities and banking transactions, contracts of carriage and logistics.
We are dedicated to provide our local Clients, both administrative and commercial bodies, with seminars and briefings as they request.
English, German and French are fluently spoken by the members of the Firm. We serve our Clients on a 24-hour a day basis and our after office hours contact details can be found in the personal links. Our aim is to provide efficient and teamwork oriented service at global standards.
